More special guest announcements are rolling out for the upcoming Anime NYC. This time, it’s none other than key Code Geass staff: writer Ichiro Okouchi, character designer Takahiro Kimura, and C.C.’s voice actress Yukana.

Yes, I’ve already mentioned the abundance of mixed-media franchises in a previous article, and now here we are again: Assault Lily Project, a mixed-media franchise based on the 1/12 scale action dolls by doll maker Azone International and creative group acus, will be receiving a TV anime adaptation by none other than studio SHAFT.

Finally an update on the much-awaited anime film project for the beloved Sailor Moon franchise: the official website of the upcoming two-part movie Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Eternal has just announced that Studio DEEN will be animating the film alongside Toei Animation.

It had a special North American premiere during the Toronto International Film Festival as part of the its Special Presentations Category with screenings on September 8, 10, 14.

As of this writing, the anime adaptation of the popular smartphone game Azur Lane has aired with two episodes so far. To add more hype, it was announced in Comic Heaven magazine on Thursday that the anime adaptation will have its own spinoff manga.

Science is more fun when mixed in with anime, like the 2018 TV anime Cells at Work. Now, get ready for more science fun, as we’ll be seeing our favorite cells in a new setting. Kodansha’s Morning magazine announced this Thursday that the science-centered manga will be getting a new spinoff manga entitled Hataraku Saibou.

A new trailer for the upcoming My Hero Academia the Movie –Heroes: Rising-- film was released this Friday on the movie’s official website. The trailer previews the movie’s theme song, “Higher Ground”, by Japanese rock band sumika.

  Good news to Digimon fans in the West: Bandai Namco has officially released the Digimon ReArise smartphone game for Western players. The game went live for Western territories this Wednesday, even though the earlier announced release date of the game was October 21.

  An official English dub trailer of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba was released this Thursday on Aniplex of America’s Youtube channel. The trailer gives us a preview of the English dub voices of main characters Kamado Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko, Tanjiro’s fellow mizunotos Zenitsu Agatsuma and Innosuke Hashibira, and hashira Giyu Tomioka.
