The story of Death Note revolves around a high school student called Yagami Light. His life changed when he saw a supernatural notebook that fell from the sky. He picked it up and ridiculed it because he thought it was just a joke but took it anyway. He discovers that the owner of the notebook is not human but a Shinigami; A Death God. The Shinigami is known as Ryuk, whose appearance is very inhumane, very slim and tall and has long limbs. He also has pointy hair and has large yellow eyes with red irises and sharp teeth.

Attack on Titan (literally translated as "Advancing Giants") is a Japanese manga series, and now an anime, originally written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. The story centers around the lives of Eren Yeager, his adoptive sister Mikasa Ackerman, and their friend Armin Arlert, who live in a world where the remnants of the human population live inside cities surrounded by enormous walls due to the sudden appearance of the Titans, gigantic humanoid creatures who devour humans seemingly without reason. Their lives are changed forever after the appearance of a colossal Titan brings about the destruction of their home town and the death of Eren's mother, spurring them to enter the army to battle the Titans themselves.

The series was directed by Kyoda Tomoki and is produced by Studio Bones, known for the production of many hits such as Wolf’s Rain, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Mob Psycho 100, and Boku no Hero Academia. In Japan, it is known as Psalms of the Planet: Eureka Seven, and is stylized simply as Eureka Seven internationally. Eureka Seven began its run on April 2005 and continued showing on MBS until April of the succeeding year. The anime has a total of 50 episodes and addressed multiple themes throughout its story. It was well received as a series winning multiple awards by the end of its original run. In the 2006 Tokyo International Anime Fair, it won Best Screenplay, Best Character Designs, and Best Television Series. The series also received the awards of Best Television Series, and Best Female Character at the Anime Expo 2006 SPJA (Society for the Promotion of Japanese Anime) Awards.

Apparently, someone is wielding a hugely powerful chemical weapon, and of course the authorities are at a loss to stop it.
