‘My Hero Academia’ Dominates the U.S. Monthly Bookscan December List!

Eight manga volumes of Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia series are included in NPD BookScan’s Top 20 adult graphic novels list for the month of December.

The complete ranking list are as follows:

  1. — Kōhei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia volume 16
  2. — Kōhei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia volume 1
  3. — Kōhei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia volume 2
  4. — Kōhei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia volume 3
  5. — Kōhei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia volume 15
  6. — Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan volume 26
  7. — Kōhei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia volume 4
  8. — Sankichi Hinodeya’s Splatoon volume 5
  9. — Kōhei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia volume 5
  10. Akira Himekawa’s The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess volume 4
  11. — Kōhei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia volume 14
  12. — Sui Ishida’s Tokyo Ghoul volume 1
  13. RWBY Official Manga Anthology volume 3

The BookScan rankings (which covers about 85% of the U.S. trade print book market) collect data sales from more than 16,000 location including independent bookshops, online purchases, and even popular bookstores like Barnes & Noble. Sales from Walmart.com, comic book stores, and related were not included in the sales count.

My Hero Academia was first published in the Weekly Shonen Jump in 2014. The official website of the My Hero Academia anime announced recently that its fourth season will premiere in October 2019. It first visual was also released with the tagline that says “I’ll become your hero!”
