Manga Artist Ken Akamatsu Hosts Exhibition/Inaugural Event at Tokyo Sky Tree Town

A special exhibition shall be held on March 18-26 at the Tokyo Sky Tree Town featuring the works of manga artist ken Akamatsu. Hosted by the artist himself the exhibition features the theme “I Long to See That Girl”. During this event fans will be able to find pieces that features his past work such as “Negima”, “Love Hina”, and “A.I. Love You.”

In addition to the art and merchandise of his works being sold on the site, fans can also find a small corner where items from Akamatsu’s office such as old computers and the like on display. Should one wish to enter the exhibition there is a fee for tickets with 1,200 yen as an advance payment or 1,400 yen at the door. For special tickets that come with memorial goods, they are available for 3,200 yen in advance or 3,400 yen at the door.

Though while fans may enjoy the event by itself, it has been reported that the exhibition also acts as an inaugural event to premier his upcoming anime set in the “Negima” verse entitled “UQ HOLDER! ~Mahou Sensei Negima 2~” and will have an exclusive art piece for the adaptation placed in the exhibition.
