This week has been pretty weird for anime fans in the United States. In case you wonder, the hashtag #mobilepsycho100 is trending in the country on Twitter. This is all thanks to the second son of U.S.

The recent Japanese video game rankings from August 31 to September 6 has been released and Ring Fit Adventure is currently at the top of the ranks with weekly sales at 63,958 and over-all at 1,483,985 copies.

A 30-second audio clip was recently uploaded on the official website of the Sailor Moon Eternal films. The clip features the voice of Zirconia, the mysterious old woman who serves Queen Nehellenia. The website invites fans to guess who might be voicing Zirconia and to tweet their answers to the franchise’s official Twitter account.

After two delays, the much-anticipated Violet Evergarden movie is now just more than a week away from its cinematic release. In celebration of the movie finally getting released soon, Kyoto Animation has released anime backgrounds from the series that fans can use for their virtual meetings.

Lots of anime announcements are pouring in for the upcoming Fall 2020 Anime season, and next up on the list is the popular franchise Golden Kamuy. The official website of the series has revealed that the franchise’s third season is set for an October 5 premiere.

The official website of Shin Chuka Ichiban., better known to English-language fans as True Cooking Master Boy, revealed that the sequel to the original series will premiere in 2021. The sequel was first announced last January, during the first series’ 12th and last episode.

A recent live-streamed special event for the Irregular at Magic High School’s second season, Visitor Arc, revealed a new promo video for the upcoming new season. The new video previews the opening theme song, Howling by ASCA and reveals season 2’s fall broadcast.

A first full promotional video was revealed for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of the Cells at Work. spinoff, Code Black. Check out the video here. (Youtube link is region-locked to Japan.) Good news for fans of Rising of the Shield Hero. The main staff of the popular anime series announced this weekend that Rising of the Shield Hero is getting a second season set for a 2021 premiere. The announcement was made by the series’ composition writer Keigo Koyanagi, character designer Masahiro Suwa and producer Junichiro Tamura during their panel at the Virtual Crunchyroll Expo event held last September 4 to 6.

More news trickling in for the upcoming Inuyasha spin-off, Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon. The official website of solo singer Uru—known for her theme songs in anime such as Granbelm and Legend of Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These—has revealed that she will be performing the ending theme song for Yashahime.
