The July 2020 issue of Shueisha’s Jump SQ. magazine has revealed new updates on the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Ryouma Kitada’s Dokyuu Hentai HxEros manga. First, a new key visual was revealed for the series:

A July 3 premiere has also been announced for the anime series. The opening theme song, entitled “Wake Up Hx ERO! feat. Retto Enjō (Matsuoka Yoshitsugu)” will be sung by HXEROS SYNDROMES. The latter is a new special unit produced by rock band BURNOUT SYNDROMES.

On the other hand, the ED theme song entitled “lost emotion” will be performed by cast member Ai Kakuma as her character Kirara Hoshino.

The cast are:

·        Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Retto Enjō

·        Ai Kakuma as Kirara Hoshino

Character design will be done by Akitomo Yamamoto (chief animation director and sub-character designer for The Girl in Twilight).

Anime News Network describes the manga series’ story as such:

“The manga’s story begins when an unknown invader known as the “Kiseichū” (wordplay on the Japanese word for “parasite”) invades Earth and begins robbing people of the source of their erotic “H energy,” depriving them of the will to live. Retto Enjō, a high school boy, joins the hero organization HxEros, and alongside four beautiful high school girls, will save the Earth from the alien threat.”

(Yes, that’s really how the story is described)

Dokyuu Hentai HxEros is a manga series written by Ryouma Kitada. It was first published in April 2017 in Shueisha’s Jump SQ. magazine. The manga series currently has 900,000 copies in print.
