Good news who are looking forward to the upcoming second of the popular anime Re:ZERO as the online streaming platform Crunchyroll announces that they will be streaming the anime in July. The anime is available for streaming on the website in the following territories: North America, Central America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.

It was announced in early March in the official Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World website that the anime will be delayed to July 2020 due to the current Coronavirus outbreak which has caused some delays in the production of the anime. The anime is originally scheduled to air in Japan in April.
Currently, a “Directors Cut” of the anime first season is currently airing in Japan and Crunchyroll will also have this version up for streaming in their platform as well.
Aside from the delay of the production of Re:ZERO Season 2, other big anime industry related events have also been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The organizers have officially announced last month that the convention is canceled due to the Novel Coronavirus Outbreak. The Japanese government is currently on high alert to prevent the virus from spreading which includes closing all schools until April to stop the spread.
It is not only AnimeJapan that have cancelled their plans. In fact, some major anime and video game-related events have been cancelled as safety measure from the outbreak. Below is the statement released by the AnimeJapan website yesterday in relation to the cancellation.
About the cancellation of AnimeJapan 2020 and Family Anime Festa 2020
In the face of the recent novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and the call from the Japanese government to cancel large-scale events made on February 26, but most of all thinking about the health and safety of our visitors and everyone involved in the event we have decided to cancel AnimeJapan 2020 and Family Anime Festa 2020.
We are extremely sorry towards all the anime fans looking forward to this year’s edition and all involved parties who were preparing for the event, however the conclusion has been made to prevent the further spread of the infection.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
For those who have already purchased tickets to AnimeJapan, refunds will be given beginning March 6. The organizers advised attendees to visit the website on the date for more information.
The Heisei Era has come to an end and with that AnimeJapan has entered the new Reiwa Era.

As of early March 2020, the World Health Organization has already recorded more than 125,048 people are infected with COVID-19 in which 80,981 of them came from Wuhan, China. 3,173 deaths have been recorded worldwide so far. WHO reported that there are already 620 COVID-19 cases in Japan in which 15 have died. The tally has not included the passengers of the Diamond Princess cruise in which 696 people are infected. The mentioned cruise ship was docked in Yokohama.
The World Health Organization has already declared the Coronavirus as a pandemic and it has urged the public to remain calm and follow the necessary protocols implemented by health authorities worldwide to contain the virus.
