The “Precious Pair Edition” Sailor Uranus and Neptune Watch is a Must-Have for Sailor Moon Fans!

If you’re a massive fan of both Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune from the popular Sailor Moon franchise, you’re in luck as the Citizen Watch’s “wicca” brand is releasing a “Precious Pair Edition” watch featuring our two favorite senshi pair. Pre-orders are now available for those who want this one of a kind of watch—an ultimate must have for any Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus fan.

This is the third item for the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon and Citizen Watch’s “wicca” brand collaboration in celebration of the franchise’s 25^th anniversary. Those who are interested to preorder may do so by visiting the official PREMICO online store.

You should get it sooner or later as the watch’s production is only limited to only 2,500 pieces. Each watch is priced at 29,800 yen (around 275 US dollars). The watches are expected to be shipped by March 2020.

This is actually a very beautiful bracelet type wristwatch featuring the pair Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus. It blends the two key colors of blue and green into the watch. Both the Uranus and Neptune symbols can be seen side by side in the 3 o’ clock and 9 o’ clock positions. The watch’s dial plate is also have glittery stardust which fit the whole Sailor Moon theme. The crystals found in the watch in the 3 o’ clock and 9 o’ clock positions of the watch are shinning Swarovski crystals in both dark blue and dark green.

This isn’t the first time that “wicca” did a collaboration with Sailor Moon. In fact, back in February 2018, they released a Sailor Moon watch inspired by the franchise’s main heroine, Usagi Tsukino. Last year, another “wicca” watch was released inspired by Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon. 

On the talk of Sailor Uranus and Neptune’s relationship, a lot of fans are convinced that their relationship are more than just friends. In fact, when the first disc set of Sailor Stars was shipped VIZ Media last year, a lot of people reacted on the description of Haruka and Michiru’s relationship as “friends” in the booklet. Many of the fans took to social media to address the issue and VIZ Media released a public apology about the error. Their statement regarding the issue said:

“The team here at VIZ was very excited to take on the honor of localizing Sailor Moon, especially acknowledging that Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus are not friends, but in fact, partners.

We made a mistake in the SAILOR MOON: SAILOR STARS booklet, and we deeply apologize for the implications of our error. We have initiated a reprinting of the booklet with updated language.

Thank you to the SAILOR MOON community for bringing this to our attention. We have been proud of our work supporting the series and will continue to do so in the future.

In relation to Sailor Moon, a upcoming two-part movie of the franchised titled Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie. The first movie is slated to premiere in Japan on September 11, 2020. As of this writing, there is still no word to when the second movie will be released. There is still no announcements yet to when the movie will be released outside of Japan.
