The anime may be over, but activities for Carole & Tuesday are far from over, as the musical television anime series is set to hold its third concert on January 19. If you do not have tickets to the concert to be held in (where else) Japan, worry not as you can still watch it in the comfort of your homes!
The staff of Carole & Tuesday just revealed this Friday that the anime’s 3rd concert entitled, “3rd Carole & Tuesday Live ~ Mother ~ ” will be streamed live worldwide! Fans can watch the concert as it happens on January 19, 9:00 AM JST (January 18 at 7:00 PM EST) at the Line Cube Shibuya in Tokyo. The stream will be hosted by MAL Live, so fans must first sign up for a MyAnimeList account to be able to watch the livestream.
Performers include Nai Br.XX and Celeina Ann, who play titular characters Carole & Tuesday, as well as the singing voice of our girl Angela, Alisa. Other performers include Maika Loubte, Lauren Dyson, and J R Price. Also set to make an appearance during the concert are the Japanese voice actors of the series, which include Miyuri Shimabukuro (Carole), Kana Ichinose (Tuesday), Sumire Uesaka (Angela), and Akio Ohtsuka (Gus).
The series, a collaboration between Watanabe and Studio Bones, is described as a musical anime and the first Japanese-dubbed anime to have full English songs sung by foreign singers, with the music teased as a “soundtrack that transcends international boundaries”. Canadian singer and composer Mocky is composing the music for renowned anime studio Flying Dog, who is in charge of music production.
The series is directed by Motonobu Hori, with Shinichiro Watanabe of Cowboy Bebop as supervising director. The script is penned by Aya Watanabe and Eisaku Kubonouchi as original character designer. Carole and Tuesday marks Studio Bones’ 20th anniversary and Flying Dog’s 10th year in the industry. The series’ 1st 12 episodes premiered worldwide on Netflix last August, with the second half of the series set to be released on December 24.
