New Disastrous Life of Saiki K. Anime Reveals December 30 Netflix Debut with 6 Episodes

Yes, Netflix is rolling out more anime for everyone, as it debuts exclusively on its platform the newest Disastrous Life of Saiki K. anime! The new anime project based on the manga series will be entitled, Disastrous Life of Saiki K.: Reawakened, and is set to debut worldwide on December 30. The trailer also reveals that the series is set to run for 6 episodes. A new visual was also released, which you can check out below:

Hiroaki Sakurai is returning to direct the anime for EGG FIRM and J.C. Staff. Character design will still be done by Masayuki Onji, with Psychic Lover stil in charge of music composition. The anime is produced by Shogakukan Shueisha Production and PK Gakuen R.

Original cast members are also returning to reprise their roles, such as:

·         Hiroshi Kamiya as Kusuo Saiki

·         Daisuke Ono as Riki Nendō

·         Nobunaga Shimazaki as Shun Kaidō

·         Satoshi Hino as Kineshi Hairo

·         Natsuki Hanae as Reita Toritsuka

·         Ai Kayano as Kokomi Teruhashi

New cast members are:

·         Kousuke Toriumi as Takumi Iguchi

·         Nao Toyama as Hii Suzumiya

Disastrous Life of Saiki K. (Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan) is a manga series written by Shuuichi Aso. It was first launched in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2012 and released its last chapter last February 2018. It was eventually adapted into an anime series by J.C. Staff and EGG FIRM, which aired a total of 46 episodes from its 2016-2018 run. A live-action film based on the series directed by Yuichi Fukuda and starring Yamazaki Kento in the lead role was released on October 21, 2017.

The series tells the story of Kusuo Saiki, a high school student who possesses all kinds of psychic abilities. The story follows Saiki as he attempts to navigate the “normal” world of PK Academy while trying to not attract attention to his secret powers.
