‘Prison Break’ TV Drama Series Gets Manga Adaptation

If you are fan of the long-running Fox live-action TV drama series Prison Break, the franchise seems to be continuing but it a form of a manga. Piccoma released a manga adaptation of the popular series its own service on Sunday. Season 1 is drawn by a new manga artist Hikosuke Soyama with the supervision of Twentieth Centure Fox Film Corporation.

The original Prison Break series premiered on Fox channel in the US on August 2005 and aired for four seasons. Its fifth season titled Prison Break: Ressurection ended in 2017 with a Season 6 confirmed and currently in development. Prison Break was first released in Japan on home video back in 2006 before officially airing on television.

Prison Break centers on a man named Michael who plans and attempts to escape the Fox River State Penitentiary (a maximum-security prison) in order to rescue his older brother Lincoln who was framed from murder.
