It was announced by game company Prototype on Thursday that Visual Art’s/Key’s popular visual novel Clannad is heading to the Nintendo Switch. Both physicial and digital copies of the game will be released in Japan on July 4.
The game is confirmed to support both English and Japanese text, full touchscreen support, and a new 5.1 surround sound mix. An English Dangopedia will also be included same as from the previous English releases of the game. Those who purchase the limited-edition physical release will also receive a drama CD in the bundle.
Clannad was also ported to the PlayStation 4 last June in both Japanese and English. It was also available for the PC via Steam released by Sekai Project in November 2015 after it successfully reached the goals of its Kickstater campaign. Clannad was also been ported in previous game consoles such as the PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation Vita, and smartphone devices in Japan.
