Creator of ‘Tokyo Ghoul’ Teases a Character from His Mystery Project

Sui Ishida is no stranger to the anime and manga world and he is the creator of the successful franchise Tokyo Ghoul. Just recently however, he posted a New Year’s greeting on his Twitter account on Monday featuring a feminine boy character named Mitsuki Shirota. Shirota is a character from his upcoming project in which he did not reveal yet.

The tweet he wrote translates the following: , "A very happy new year. Although my greeting wasn’t ready at the end [of New Year’s Day], I ended my series last year and it was one of the milestones in my life. I’m trying to do some work outside of manga in 2019, and I hope to even come up with an idea for a new work. Thank you again for this last year. The sequel to the Tokyo Ghoul manga titled Tokyo Ghoul:re ended last summer after ending its final arc that began in February. Tokyo Ghoul ran in the Weekly Young Jump from 2011 to 2014. The anime adaptation of the sequel Tokyo Ghoul:re premiered in October and ended last December 2018.
