Shout Factory to Release ‘Perfect Blue’ Home Video on March 2019!

It was announced by Shout Factory that they will be officially releasing the 1997 anime film Perfect Blue on home video! It will be released in Blu-Ray/DVD Combo pack on March 26, 2019. Those who want to have the movie at discounted price, it is now available for pre-order.

The home video will contain the following bonuses: NEW Digital Remastered Presentation, Original SD Version (Japanese Mono Dolby Digital 2.0 with English Subtitles), NEW Lectures By Satoshi Kon Featurette, NEW Into The Blue Featurette – New Interviews, Angel Of Your Heart Recording Sessions, Angel Of Your Heart Full English Version, Theatrical Trailers And TV Spots (Includes New Trailers From US And UK Re-releases), and Cast and Crew Interviews.

Previously, GKIDS was able to hold limited screening of the film for US and Canada last September. Below reveals the synopsis:

Rising pop star Mima has quit singing to pursue a career as an actress and model, but her fans aren’t ready to see her go… Encouraged by her managers, Mima takes on a recurring role on a popular TV show, when suddenly her handlers and collaborators begin turning up murdered.
