The release of the five-volume DVD/Blu-ray for the “Ore ga Suki nano wa Imouto dakedo Imouto ja Nai”/“My Sister, My Writer” anime has officially been delayed. Originally set for December 21, 2018, now it is postponed to February 27, 2019.
According to the original website of the series, this is due to “circumstances of production.” A similar reason has also been stated with the delay in the anime as the series’ official Twitter released an announcement stating:
The broadcast of the anime’s seventh episode, originally set to be aired on November 21 in Japan, was also postponed for one week due to “circumstances of the production process.”
In addition to the product’s delay, the manga has also been delayed with the release day of its last fifth volume being changed from April 24 to June 24.
“My Sister, My Writer” is a romantic comedy work that first began as a light novel series written by Seiji Ebisu and illustrated by Gintarō. It was published by Fujimi Shobo in August 2016 and is currently running with around 6 volumes released. The manga adaptation of the series released in December 2017 with Kō Narita as the creator and Monthly Dragon Age having serialized the work.
It was on October 10 that the anime made its debut with NAZ and Magia Doraglier having produced the work. The series is directed by Hiroyuki Furukawa and written by Yūichirō Momose.
“Ore ga Suki nano wa Imouto dakedo Imouto ja Nai”/“My Sister, My Writer,” tells the story of a beautiful third-year middle school student named Suzuka Nagami. She holds and excellent grades and the position of student council president and one day writes a novel about a little sister who dotes on her older brother. From this she gains a light novel award; however, after discussing things with her brother, it was decided that Yuu would be the one to take the award instead of Suzuka, under the pen name Chikai Towano.
