After a nine-year run, the four-member voice actress unit Milky Holmes comes to an end on January 28, 2019, with “Milky Holmes Final Live Q.E.D.” to be held at the internationally famous sports arena Nippon Budokan.

To mark the unit’s farewell concert, an official logo and key visual has been released by Bushiroad. With the logo, it features the title of the concert (“Q.E.D” is an abbreviation of the Latin words “Quod Erat Demonstrandum,” which translated “that which was to be demonstrated”). As for the key visual, it states “Thank you, Milkey Holmes”.

Ticket sales for the concert will begin on December with tickets priced at 8,640-yen. In addition to the final concert of the unit, it has been announced that coming January 16, 2019, there will be a five-disc best album “Milky Parade!!!!” will be made available. Its four CDs contains over 60 songs including newly recorded ones, while a Blu-ray disc includes their eight music videos. For those who purchase the item will receive a coupon for a bonus item that they can receive at the unit’s final concert venue.

It was in 2010 that the VA unit Milkey Holmes came to be with Suzuko Mimori (Sherlock “Sheryl” Shellingford), Sora Tokui (Nero Yuzurizaki), Mikoi Sasaki (Hercule “Elly” Burton), and Izumi Kitta (Cordelia Glauca) comprising the group. They were formed following the launch of the “Project MILKY HOLMES” media mix franchise in 2009 and have released 15 singles, three full albums, two mini albums, and eight live DCD/Blu-rays while playing as their characters.

The “Tantei Opera Milky Holmes” anime premiered in October 2010 with J.C.Staff having produced the adaptation. The series ran until December 2010, with a special episode aired on August 26, 2011, than in the following years gained three more seasons and several anime specials. In February 2016 an anime film was released. The anime was described as a homage to the detective fiction genre and the voice actresses’ characters were named after famous fictional detectives. Other than the anime and film, the franchise has also released light novels and a trading card game.
