A new video for Altus’ “Catherine: Full Body” game has started streaming on Thursday. It is the fifth animated video for the “adult fighting theater” series and takes focus on “Rin’s Secret."
“Catherine: Full Body” is a mature romantic action-adventure puzzle game for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita game and will ship in Japan on February 14, 2019. It is being produced by Atlus’ Studio Zero division and will be featuring a new character termed as the "third Catherine.” She is named Qatherine (Rin for short) and is a new love interest for Vincent with distinct storyline elements and additional puzzle content.
Other than this, there are new storyline elements for Catherine and Katherine. On the note of Catherine, the fourth video of the series focused on the character Catherine and infidelity.
The game will also have a Japanese limited edition which will include a soundtrack set, art book, and “Nero glasses” both as a physical item and DLC. With the DLC Nero glasses, it will allow the player character Vincent to see female characters in sleepwear. Other than this, there will be a DLC that can change Catherine’s voice between 11 different voice actresses with the limited edition.
As an added feature, a Persona 5-themed bonus for DLC for Joker as a playable character and a "phantom thieves commentary set” will be given to those who purchase first printings of the game. The character will be available for the Babel and Colosseum modes, and the commentary set will have the other phantom thieves provide commentary while he is in play.
On a different note, the game will also be having a release in the Americas and Europe in 2019.
The first “Catherine” game was a mature action-adventure/puzzle for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2011. It was a collaboration between Atlus and the Genius Party animators at Studio 4°C. The story of the game told of a man named Vincent Brooks who while torn between his feelings for longtime girlfriend Katherine and the similarly-named beauty Catherine, began to have supernatural nightmares.
The gameplay is divided between daytime hours and had players navigate through three-dimensional tower puzzles. Depending on the moral they make for Vincent, the player could receive different endings.
