‘Sword Art Online’ to hold Giveaway Campaign in Akihabara for Winter and Fall

If you’re heading to Akihabara for the Fall and Winter season this year, be sure to drop by from November 23 to December 25 as Sword Art Online will be having a giveaway campaign titled as “2018 Winter Fall Akihabara Electric Town Festival.” The key visual (above) shows Sword Art Online: Alicization characters Kirito, Asuna, Alice, and Eugeo on a shopping spree. This visual will also be on display throughout Akihabara as during the giveaway campaign period.

Those who purchase items worth of a certain value at participating stores will get to have some Sword Art Online-related freebies. You will also be able to enter a draw for a chance to win some limited edition stuff.

Participants should take note of the logo of Akihabara’s mascot character Akibear (seen on Kirito’s bag in the official visual) as this is will be displayed on the participating shops for this campaign. Item purchases worth 2,000 yen will be able get a free postcard. You will be able to have a chance to win a 10,000 yen gift card (limited to 100 people) or an acrylic panel (for only 30 people). Plastic sheets showing the Akibear illustration with the SAO characters will also be given away until supplies last.

If you’re going to these participating establishments: Akihabara UDX parking, Adores, Vstone Robot Center, Edion, Onoden, TSUKUMO, Dospara, Bic Camera/Softmap, and Laox, you will be able to get a different postcard for 500 yen worth of items. The postcards come with 10 unique illustrations that are sorted into different groups. The first batch of postcards will be available from November 23 to December 7 while the second batch of postcards will be available from December 8 to 25.

If you’re heading down to Chou Dori main street, 10 flags with illustrations of Sword Art Online will be put on display. Ten lucky people will be able to get one of the flags if they follow the @akiba_denkigai twitter account as well as participate in the quote-retweet campaign and using the hashtag #秋葉原電気街まつり_SAO in their tweet. One of the flags will have a signature from the anime cast.

This current anime series of the Sword Art Online: Alicization anime again have Yoshitsugu Matsuoka and Haruka Tomatsu as Kirito and Asuna respectively. Joining them is Nobunaga Shimazaki as Eugeo and Ai Kayano as Alice.
