A manga adaptation is confirmed for the three films of the “Psycho-Pass SS or Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System” project.
Illustrating all three manga is Natsuo Sai, the artist behind the “Psycho-Pass: Kanshikan Kōgami Shinya” manga. The first manga inspired by the first film “Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System Case.1 Tsumi to Batsu” (Crime and Punishment), will be launched on the same day as its release in Japan, January 25.
The three-film “Psycho-Pass SS” or “Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System” project was first announced back in March during Fuji TV’s “Plus Ultra Fuji TV Anime Lineup Presentation 2018” live stream. With the second and third film of the project, they will be released on February 15 and March 8 respectively.

A previous manga work of the “Psycho-Pass” franchise was the “Psycho-Pass: Inspector Shinya Kōgami” prequel spinoff manga created by Midori Gotou and Sai. It was launched in Mag Garden’s Monthly Comic Blade magazine in June 2014 and ended it last December with a total of six volumes published. It was recently that the series was licensed by Dark Horse Comics and had its fourth volume released in North America on March 7.
It was in 2012 that the original “Psycho-Pass” anime made its debut. The first series ran for a total of 22 episodes and was followed by the second season in 2014 with a total of 11 episodes. The first film of the franchise premiered in 2015 in Japan and other than what has been listed, the franchise has inspired several manga adaptations and spinoff manga, as well as the “Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness” game.
