Marvel Co-Creator and Comic Book Icon Stan Lee Passes Away

We are sure going to miss his movie cameos.

The entire comic book and entertainment industry mourns for the great comic book icon and Marvel Comics co-creator Stan Lee has passed away on Monday. He died at age 95 at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Lee has contributed to Marvel Comics in creating popular superhero franchises such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, Black Panther, Ant Man, The Mighty Thor, and X-Men to name a few.

He was born in 1922 and started working at Timely Comics in 1939. The mentioned comic studio was then renamed to Marvel Comics. He enlisted in the army in 1942 creating training films and writing manuals. He then returned to Marvel in 1972 where he became editor then later publisher.

The massive popularity of the Marvel comic book heroes paved way to Japanese anime adaptations of Wolverine, Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers, X-Men, Blade, and Iron Man. X-Men and Spider-Man also had manga adaptations as well. A 1978 tokusatsu series of Spider-Man was also produced by TOEI.

Rest in Peace, Sir. We will forever be remembered.
