There have been some highly recognized anime that have gained live-action adaptations to the mixed reactions of various fans. Now another well-known anime may be getting a live-action adaptation and that is My Hero Academia.
Plans were announced by Legendary and so far it has been confirmed that Alex Garcia and Jay Ashenfelter will be overseeing the project with Ryosuke Yoritomi representing publisher Shueisha and Toho lined up to distribute in Japan.
It was most recently announced that the series would be having a 4th season after just ending its third season. The anime first debut back in April 2016 with Kenji Nagasaki as the director and Yousuke Kuroda the writer. The series is based on the superhero manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi and serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 2014.
Legendary also produced hit movies for the DC Cinematic Universe, including The Dark Knight, and Man of Steel.

The main story of the series sets in a world where 80% of humanity possess supernatural abilities known as quirks. For some people with amazing quirks, they become a hero, a job that young Izuku Midoriya earnestly dreams for. However, upon being diagnosed as quirkless, Izuku feels his world ending. That is until he has a chance meeting with the number one hero All Might and after saving him, is bestowed with the quirk of “One For All.” Now with this new power, Izuku takes on his dream of becoming a hero with great determination.
