For the Saga Prefecture’s first ever Ishinmatsuri, it featured the girls of Franchouchou from the “Zombie Land Saga.”
The festival was in celebration Saga’s 150th anniversary and brought attention to its traditions, historical contributions, and famous residents. The voice actresses of the series took to the stage with a talk show. While photos couldn’t be taken during the event, there were other familiar faces that could be spotted around the free outdoor event.
The prefecture’s visitor center also dropped a few Zombie Land Saga goodies off for fans and curious visitors to the area.
“Zombie Land Saga” made its debut on October 4 and so far has three episodes released. It has been noted that in all episodes that multiple landmarks were featured. Prior to this report, it was revealed that voice actress Kotono Mitsuishi would be voicing Tae Yamada

The series is directed by Munehisa Sakai, the series director of “Suite Precure” and they are working at MAPPA. Credited for the original work is “Kōhōkōchōka Zombie-gakari” (PR Zombie). Shigeru Murakoshi, a writer who worked on the screenplays of different episodes is in charge of the series composition. Kasumi Fukagawa who worked on the “Persona 3 the Movie #1 Spring of Birth” film as an assistant animation director designed the characters for the series.

The story takes on a high school student named Sakura Minamoto. It was a typical day for her and she was on her way to school but ends up being hit by a truck. Rather than passing on, however, she finds herself waking up as a zombie and a man named Kotaro Tatsumi greets her. He tells her that he is bringing her into an idol group made up of zombies, Dead Girls he has “recruited” from several eras of Japanese history.
