From popular dance platform games since 1998 to the big screen – a production company named Stampede will be partnering with Branded Pictures Entertainment and Konami to create a film based on Konami’s popular Dance Dance Revolution dance game franchise.
In a statement posted on websites Variety and Deadline say that the “project will explore a world on the brink of destruction where the only hope is to unite through the universal language of dance.”
This project was revealed by Stampede on Tuesday while announcing Cara Fano as its Director of Development, Film, and TV. Former Warner Brother President of Production Greg Silverman worked with Fano at Warner Brothers before launching Stampede.
Fano will be working closely with the project with producers J. Todd Harris and Marc Marcum of Branded Pictures Entetainment as well as with Konami.
