It was announced by Capcom on Sunday during the Tokyo Game Show 2018 event that the Street Fighter V game will be released in the arcades in Japan beginning 2019. The company will be working alongside with Taito on the arcade version.
Location testing will happen from October 5 to 7 in the following locations: Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka. The arcade version will be based from the Street Fighter V Arcade Edition upgraded version. Players can plug in their own controllers as the arcade system will have USB ports.
This is the latest entry to the popular Street Fighter game franchise which contain new features like the special V-Trigger mode and the V-Reversal moves. It was first released in February 2016 in both North America and Europe, then later released for the PC (via Steam) and the PlayStation 4.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is an upgraded version released in January which you can download for free. This version is also sold separately. It contains a Gallery, Extra Battle Mode, a UI design overhaul, and more V-Trigger moves to maximize your fighting combos.
