That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Anime is Set for October

The “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” is officially confirmed to make its debut on October 1. It will be aired on TOKYO MX, BS11, and tvk, then on MBS one day later.

Prior to this report, the anime had its staff and cast confirmed. Directing the series is Yasuhito Kikuchi, the director behind “Macross Frontier.” With him, as the assistant director is Atsushi Nakayama, who worked on the “Absolute Duo” series as a director. Working on the series composition is Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, a writer currently working on the “How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord.” As for the character designs, it will be taken on by “Magical Warfare’s” character designer, Ryouma Ebata.

“That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime,” tells the story of Satou Mikami. Lonely and unhappy with his mundane life, things take a big turn for the man when he ends dying at the hands of a robber. Upon waking up, he finds himself not only in a fantasy but has been reborn as a slime of all things! Now, not only does he have to adjust to the life of a slime, his exploits with the other monsters set off a chain of events that will change his new world forever!

“That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime”, which is also known as “Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken” is based on a light novel series that was written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah. Serialized online between 2013 and 2016 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō it was in 2014 that the series was acquired by Micro Magazine, who published the first light novel volume. By July 2018, a total of twelve volumes was released.
