The upcoming “Ingress” anime now has its main cast, story, and key visual revealed on its official website. Also revealed on the site was the show is set to have a worldwide stream on Netflix.
“Ingress” is based on Niantic’s AR game and is to be produced by the studio Craftar. Acting as the director of the series is Yūhei Sakuragi, who previously directed “The Relative Worlds” ONA. With him as assistant director Yoshinari Irikawa while taking charge of the script are Sōki Tsukishima and Tora Tsukishima. Takeshi Honda, who also worked on “The Relative Worlds” ONA, will be composing for the series.

Four main cast members were revealed in the announcement. Playing the role of Makoto is Yoshiki Nakajima, who is currently playing the role of Yukimura in “The Thousand Noble Musketeers.”
Reina Ueda, the voice behind Suzu Fuura in “Comic Girls”, will be voicing as Sarah.
Taking the role of Jack is Shigeo Kiyama, who played as Kagaya in “Sagrada Reset.”
Another noted cast member is Megumi Ogata who will be playing as the Artificial Intelligence ADA.
The story of the series takes focus on Makoto and a strange power that he possesses. With this power, he is able to read the memories of objects he touched and thus he decided to hide this uncontrollable power. Now he works at a police force that one day investigates an explosion at a laboratory. In this lab, they research an unknown substance called “XM”.
With the help of a memory from Sarah’s ring, who was the sole survivor of the accident, Makoto was able to see pieces of evidence. That evidence is the sight of a person being swallowed into a red light and disappearing. Now, the battle for “XM”, a material that could affect the human mind, begins.
More than a worldwide stream, the anime is set to air on air on Fuji TV’s new “+Ultra” programming block starting in October. In addition to this, the who will also be aired in Japan on Kansai Telecasting Corporation, Tokai Television Broadcasting, Television Nishinippon Corporation, Hokkaido Cultural Broadcasting, and BS Fuji.
