Over the past few years up to this point, millions of viewers hastily looked for new ways to entertain themselves.
It has been confirmed that playing the role of Mother Carmel in “One Piece” is voice actress Fumi Hirano.
Hirano is voice actress and essayist who is best known for voicing Lum Invader in the comedy series “Urusei Yatsura”. She has worked since 1958 and is under the affiliation of Aoni Production. More than “Urusei Yatsura”, Hirano has also played a role in “Detective Conan” as Rumi Wakasa and “Tokyo Ravens” as Miyo Kurahashi.
Her character, Mother Carmel, is majorly known to have looked after Charlotte Linlin a.k.a. “Big Mom” when she was still a child. While she may appear to be a virtuous caretaker, that is far from the truth. She is, in fact, an underworld broker who secretly makes a living by selling orphans to the World Government in order to turn them into Marine soldiers and/or Cipher Pol spies.
The voice actress will be making her debut as Mother Carmel in the 836th episode of the series. The episode will be launched on May 13 and will be featuring a flashback story of Big Mom as a child told from her perspective.
Big Mom, on the other hand, is the captain of the Big Mom Pirates and the only female member of the Yonko. She is also the matriarch of the very large Charlotte Family and rules over Totto Land as its queen.
In the previous episode, Luffy has Big Mom incapicate her family and crew by showing the fragments of Mother Carmel’s broken picture and Sanji manages to free his family. At the end with Big Mom vulnerable Bege, Vito, and Gotti prepare to assassinate her.
The “One Piece” series was first released in 1997 as a manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. The series received an anime adaptation which premiered in 1999 and is now in its 15th season. It features the tale of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew as he sets off to sea on an adventure to claim the title of Pirate King.
The series has received much praise for its storytelling, art, characterization, and humor and has even gained recognition as the best-selling manga series in history in October 2017.
