Love is Like a Cocktail Returns with a New Episode

“Love is Like a Cocktail” makes a return as a 14th episode is announced by the series’ staff at a talk presentation held at the Machi Asobi event.

At the event, Arisa Nakata, the voice behind supporting character Koharu Sakurai stated her hopes for a second season and encourages fans for their support. Also making their appearance at the event was creator Crystal no Yousuke who said, “I truly think we’ll be able to do a second season, so please continue giving your support."

It was in December 2017 that the series had reached its end with a total of thirteen episodes and having premiered on October 3, 2017. The series was directed by Saori Tachibana, an episode director for “Little Witch Academia”, and written by WORDS in STEREO, the writer behind “Love To-LIE-Angle”. As for the rest of the main staff, the is Hisayoshi Hirasawa as chief director and Yuzuko Hanai as character designer.

The story of the series takes focus on a married couple. There is the quiet but capable Chisato Mizusawa who works as an office worker and then there Mizusawa Sora, a former bartender who is now a stay-at-home husband. While Chisato may seem like a serious worker, however, she does have a secret. She has a love for alcohol and every time she drinks she turns into an adorable and affectionate drunk. This is the story of the couple’s daily life as Chisato works and is greeted at home with a drink created by Sora.

For the anime’s cast, Eri Kitamura, who is known to have played the role of Mina Ashido in “My Hero Academia” voiced female lead Chisato Mizusawa. Mitsuhiro Ichiki, the voice of Yukio Hans Vorarlberna in “Bleach”, played as house husband Sora. As for other characters/cast members, they included Arisa Nakata as Koharu Sakurai and Ayaka Asai as Yui Shiraishi.

Originally, “Love Like a Cocktail” was a Japanese web manga series written and illustrated by Crystal na Yōsuke. It was in April 2015 that the series made its debut in Shogakukan’s free manga magazine Yawaraka Spirits. By September 2017 the series had seven volumes published under Shogakukan’s Big Spirits Comic Special label.
