‘Black Clover’ to have Smartphone Game this Year!

It was confirmed on Monday on the combined 21st and 22nd issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump that the manga series Black Clover will have its own smartphone game slated to be released this year.

The title of the game will be Black Clover: Mugen no Kishidan (Dream Knights) and will be launched free-to-play (with optional in-game item purchases) for both Android and iOS devices.

A website for the game will be launched by Bandai Namco Entertainment on Monday.

This RPG smartphone game will be the able to let make your own team from your favorite Black Clover characters to protect the kingdom. You can choose from the Magic Knights from the Clover Kingdom, members of the White Night Eye, and the members of the Diamond Kingdom.

Bandai Namco will also be releasing another game for the PC (via Steam) and PlayStation 4 titled Black Clover: Quartet Knights. Japan will have the game released in the PS4 this year, while the West will have both PC and PS4 releases.

It was confirmed in the official website of the Black Clover anime series that it will have a total of 51 episodes with four opening and ending themes. This was announced in advanced due to the releases of its DVD and Blu-Ray Box Sets. The first set is slated to be released in Japan on February 23 for 17,000 yen for Blu-Ray and 15,000 yen for DVD.

The other box sets are scheduled to be released on May 25, July 27, October 26, and January 25, 2019. Weekly Shonen Jump will reveal the first edition box set extras on its first 2018 issue.

Black Clover is based from the popular manga series of the same name created by Yuki Tabata. The anime’s first episode premiered in Japan October 3. Viewers outside of Japan can watch the anime series with English subtitles by Crunchyroll or in English dub by Funimation.
