The anime adaptation of Tokyo Ghoul:re premiered in Japan on Tuesday. Although the series is still ongoing, it is confirmed by retailer Amazon that the anime that will have a total 12 episodes. For DVD and Blu-ray Disc releases, it will be distributed in total of 6 volumes.
Last Wednesday, Funimation Entertainment released an English-dubbed trailer for the anime adaptation of Sui Ishida’s Tokyo Goul:re manga. The popular anime streaming service will also release the first few English-dubbed episodes simultaneously with Japan. You can check out the video trailer below:
The subtitled version of the anime will also be available on Hulu while Funimation confirmed that the series will also be streamed as a simulcast in original Japanese language with English Subtitles.
Shuhei Morita (Tokyo Ghoul anime director) will be replaced by Odahiro Watanabe as director for this adaptation at Pierrot. Production assistance is credited by Perriot+ and Chuji Mikasano returns to provide series composition and scriptwriting. The ending theme song titled “Half” will be performed by rock band Ziyoou-vachi.
