On Thursday, the official website of Japanese singer Eir Aoi was reopened. The first thing you will notice on the site is an image of a small blue light. This is the singer’s first website update since she went on hiatus in November 2016.
As of this time, the site is not showing any hints of the artist’s comeback or any upcoming albums or performances.
Aoi announced her hiatus in August 2016 due to her poor health. She went on indefinite hiatus after her 5th Anniversary Special Live concert in 2016. Although she announced that she won’t be doing any big performances, she had appearances in January 2017 and several times in August in the same year.
She rose to fame in 2011 when she released her first single titles “Memoria” which is the ending theme song of the Fate/Zero anime series. She has done theme songs for popular anime like Aldnoah Zero, Sword Art Online, and Kill La Kill.
The last album she released was D’Azur which immediately went to #3 on Oricon’s album chart on the week of June 22-28 in 2015. Her latest single she released was Tsubasa in July 2016 which was theme song for the anime series The Heroic Legend of Arslan: Dust Storm Dance.
