‘FullMetal Alchemist’ Live-Action Film to Premiere in Netflix on February 19

Netflix users are in for a treat as the popular premium streaming service confirmed that they will be listing the live-action Fullmetal Alchemist film and will be available for streaming starting on February 19! The platform has listed this movie as a Netflix original. As of this time, there is still no confirmation if the Kakegurui anime will premiere on February 1.

On its opening weekend alone on December 2 and 3, the film earned a total of 264, 065, 100 yen beginning from its December 1 premiere until Sunday. The film has so far a cumulative total of 373,330,500 yen.

The film’s world premiere happened on October 25 at the Tokyo International Film Festival. The movie will be screened in over 400 theatres (including 4DX and IMAX screenings) in Japan.

Fumihiko Sori promises to fans that the movie will be closely accurate to its original source. To quote, “I want to create a style that follows the original manga as much as possible. The cast is entirely Japanese, but the cultural background is Europe. However, it’s a style that doesn’t represent a specific race or country."

Ryosuke Yamada will play the role of Edward Elric, Dean Fujioka as Roy Mustang, and Tsubasa Honda as Winry Rockbell. Other cast and crew members include the following:
