The Beta for Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Has Begun

Starting from January 12 and running until January 21, 2018, the “Dissidia Final Fantasy NT” opens to players for testing. They may either try 3v3 online Ranked Matches in 12 areas or the offline Gauntlet Mode 3v3 fighters where 2 AI allies join you, all the while having 15 characters to choose from.

The main feature in the beta is on how it attempts to summarize the full game the best it can with a show of footage. With the full game which will be released in the PlayStation 4 on January 30, 2018 in North America and Europe, it will feature 28 characters, divided into four types of fighters, over 12 battlefields, summons to call upon and characters to unlock and customize with weapons.

There is no requirement for the PlayStation Plus for the online multiplayer in the open beta. However, players will be required to make a subscription for the full game and what’s more, any saved data made in the open beta is non-transferable.
The schedule for the beta run is as follows:

6am PT/8am CT/9am ET on January 12 through 1pm PT/3pm CT/4pm ET on January 15.


2pm PT/4pm CT/5pm ET on January 15 through 1pm PT/3pm CT/4pm ET on January 18.


2pm PT/4pm CT/5pm ET on January 18 through 1pm PT/3pm CT/4pm ET on January 21.

It was in November 2015 that the game, which was first known as “Dissidia Final Fantasy”, released in Japan as an arcade game. The team-based fighting game developed by Team Ninja of Koei Tecmo and published by Square Enix and Taito was then announced for the PlayStation 4 in June 2017 and was had gained the name “Dissidia Final Fantasy NT.”

When the game was first released, there was no concrete story to be found. But when the “Battle of the Gods” DLC was released, a story involving a group of warriors being summoned by the goddess Materia and the god Spiritus to take part in battle of the gods. As for gameplay, it was a three-versus-three based fighting game where players would select characters from one of four different classes (Vanguard, Marksman, Assassin or Specialist) and battle against another team in three dimensional stages based on locations from the Final Fantasy series.
