It was in November 2015 that the game, which was first known as “Dissidia Final Fantasy”, released in Japan as an arcade game. The team-based fighting game developed by Team Ninja of Koei Tecmo and published by Square Enix and Taito was then announced for the PlayStation 4 in June 2017 and was had gained the name “Dissidia Final Fantasy NT.”
When the game was first released, there was no concrete story to be found. But when the “Battle of the Gods” DLC was released, a story involving a group of warriors being summoned by the goddess Materia and the god Spiritus to take part in battle of the gods. As for gameplay, it was a three-versus-three based fighting game where players would select characters from one of four different classes (Vanguard, Marksman, Assassin or Specialist) and battle against another team in three dimensional stages based on locations from the Final Fantasy series.
