The anime adaptation of “After the Rain” a.k.a. “Koi wa Ameagari no You ni” now has itsJapanese TV schedule, the main cast, and additional staff members officially revealed.
“After the Rain” is a “heartrending love story” manga by Jun Mayuzuki. It was released in 2014 under the serialization of Shogakukan’s Monthly Big Comic Spirits magazine before moving to the magazine Weekly Big Comic Spirits in 2016. Currently the series ha eight volumes, its most recent volume having been released on July 12, 2017.
The anime will be digitally distributed worldwide by Amazon Prime but will be aired in Japan through the following channels and schedules:

The story for the series tells of Akira Tachibana, a 17 year old 2nd year high school. Known for for her cool and emotionally detached demeanor she was once the star of her high school track team until an injury ends her athletic career. But in the midst of wondering where to go with track out of her life, she ends up falling in love with an unexpected man. That man is Masami Kondo, the hapless, middle-aged manager at the family restaurant where she works part-time.
Playing the role of the 17 year old 2nd year high school student is Sayumi Watanabe, the voice behind Shiki Mori in “Minami Kamakura High School Girls Cycling Club.” Other than being a former star athelete, Akira is also described to be working part-time at a family restaurant called “Garden” where she ends up finding her love.
Taking on the role of said love, Masami Kondo is Hiraoki Hirata, the voice of Sanji in the “One Piece” series. His character is described to be a divorced man who has a son from his previous marriage.
Included in the main cast is Emi Miyajima, who played as Mitsuyo Akechi in “A Centaur’s Life”, for the role of Haruka Kyan. She is known as best friend and a member of the track and field team who gre apart from Akira since her injury. But still worrying for her friend she holds the hope that their relationship can return to how it used to be.
Last but not least is Haruka Fukurhara, the voice behind Himari Arisugawa/Cure Custard in “Kirakira ☆ Precure a la Mode” to play as the bright and cheerful Yui Nishida. She is described to love cute things, and loves to gossip about love stories and other topics of interest to high school girls.
