Mario Amiibo Now Becomes Part of a Balanced Breakfast

A new type of amiibo will be released and this time it will be joining fans in their balanced breakfast. For the latest “Super Mario Odyssey” comes in a Mario themed cereal and a new type of amiibo.

Courtesy of Kellogg’s official UK Twitter, it has been confirmed that there will be in fact a “Super Mario” cereal that will be released in the U.S. There is no confirmed U.K. release for the cereal though. However, it has been confirmed that the cereal box, that is to say the chip at the bottom of it, will be the newest amiibo for “Super Mario Odyssey.”

“Super Mario Odyssey” is the latest game of the Mario franchise and was released on October 27. It is 3D platform video game developed for the Nintendo Switch and in comparison to previous game installations, returns to the primarily open-ended, exploration-based gameplay previously featured in “Super Mario 64” and “Super Mario Sunshine.”

In the game the story follows Mario and Cappy, spirit that possesses Mario’s hat and allows him to take control of other characters and objects. Together they set off to different worlds to gather moons and power their ship in order to save Princess Peach from being married to Koopa King Bowser.

One of the main features in the game is that along with Mario’s usual repertoire of moves, he is
able to throw out his cap, which is the physical form of a spirit named Cappy in multiple directions as a projectile against enemies and a temporary platform. In addition to this, Mario is able to take possession of/ “capture” certain objects and enemies and make use of their unique abilities when he throws the cap at them.

“Super Mario” in general is known as a series of platform video games created by Nintendo featuring the iconic game hero Mario. Considered as one of the central points of the “Mario” franchise, the series began in 1985 with the “Super Mario Bros.” game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Since its first game there has been at least one “Super Mario” game released for every major Nintendo video game console and handheld.
