A Poster Visual is Officially Released for "Digimon tri 6"

The official release date of “Digimon Adventure tri’s” 6th film is now confirmed along with the reveal of a key visual for the work. The date is May 5, 2018 and already pre-release plans for the film are already set.

Produced by Toei Animation, “Digimon Adventures tri” is a six-part films that was created to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Akiyoshi Hongo’s Digimon franchise. The first of the films series, which is said to be a direct sequel to the first two television series of the franchise, was released in November 2015 and titled, “Reunion.”

The parts that followed were titled, “Determination”,”Confession”, “Loss” and “Coexistance.” Each one spanned for about 3 to 4 episodes and in total, holds around 21 episodes. Acting as the director for all the films is Keitaro Motonoga, a director known to have directed classic shounen series, “Getbackers.” The writer for the entire work is Yuuko Kakihara, known previously to have worked on a variety of scripts and series compositions for other series such as “Chihayafuru.”

As for the cast of the series, they are comprised of the DigiDestined group of the franchise and include:

The story of the series varies for each part, but as a whole, it takes focus on the original DigiDestined and their partner Digimon three years after the events of “Digimon Adventure 02.” All is not well as both the Real World and Digimon face peril under a mysterious anomaly has appeared and is causing distortions to reality and bringing out a virus which is turning Digimon hostile.

With this trouble on the rise, the DigiDestined reunite along with the partner Digimon and another DigiDestined named Meiko Mochizuki and her partner Meicoomon, they set out to solve the myster. Along the way though, they not only have to deal with infected Digimon but also the responsibilities and burdens of growing up.
