Koi wa Ameagari no You ni Reveals a New Key Visual and PV with Ending Theme

A look into the official anime adaptation of “Koi wa Ameagari no You ni” a.k.a. “Love is Like after the Rain” is out with a PV and key visual. Included with the sneak speak at the anime is an update on the staff to work on the production.

Featured in the PV is the ending theme of the series, “Ref: rain” which will be performed by Aimer and a look at the main character of the series, Akira Tachibana. As for the latest staff revealed, it is Watanabe Ayumu as the director of the series; previously, he was mainly recognized for his work the variety of Doraemon films as the director and animation director. He will be working with WIT STUDIO, the production studio that will be handling the series.

On another note a message was also released by the creator of the series himself, Jun Mayuzuki. In his message he expressed his thanks to all those who would be working on the production and hopes that the series may leave a lasting impact.

“Koi wa Ameagari no You ni” a.k.a. “Love is Like after the Rain” was created by Mayuzuki in June 2014 and was under the serialization of Shogakukan’s Monthly Big Comic Spirits magazine before it was moved to the magazine Weekly Big Comic Spirits in 2016. Most recently it has been confirmed that the series will be releasing its 8th volume on June 27.

The soft-spoken high schooler, Akira Tachibana is the protagonist of this story. In the past she used to be part of the track and field club but due to an injury, is no longer able to run as fast and now she works as a part-timer at a family restaurant. As time passes at work, Akira soon realizes that she has fallen in love with her manager Masami Kondou, a 45-year-old divorced man with a son.

Though considered as spineless by his employees with his mannerisms and kind nature and having quite a large age gap between themselves, Akira finds herself learning more and more about Masami and an understanding begins to grow between them. Though she has no concrete explanation over her feelings for him, she finds no reason not to love him and makes the decision one day to confess to him.
