Top 5 Anime for the Week

Every season brings all kinds of interesting anime to watch, but it isn’t always the easiest to choose what to watch. Do you choose based on the genre? The style? The plot? There are so many factors to take into and half the time you may as well judge things by watching a few episodes. Still, there is always something nice to learn just a little bit about a series and see how much interest you might get from it.

5. Infini-T Force

A renewal of an old series, this is the story that takes on the classic transforming heroes mixed in with dimensional travel and mystery. The heroine of this story is Emi, a simple high school student who has grown listless with the ongoing absence of her father. One day she discovers a strange item in the shape of a large pencil and discovers it to be linked to different heroes from different worlds. This is their story.

4. Code:Realize: Sousei no Himegimi

This is a new type of shoujo worth a look. Mixing a bit of mystery and elements of steampunk, you may find potential with this series. In this story, Cardia stars as the tragic heroin. From within her body lies a poison so deadly, she burns all those that touches her and has been labeled as a monster. One night after being captured by soldiers, he finds herself taken in by the “gentlemanly thief” Arsène Lupin and finds her life changed. As she meets new people and learn more about them, she also searches for the truth of her father and the treasure he left behind.

3. Taishou Chicchai-san

With each season there is always a handful of anime series to appeal to the female audience and nowadays there is at least one anime that will either appeal or disappoint the fujoshi masses. For this series we have a young man by the name of Hiiragi Kyouichirou. A provincial boy who is heading to Tokyo for university, he brings with him his family sword for protection. However, with the ability to see spirits and as he enters into the capital, all it takes is one stray wish and he finds a wave of change hitting not only him but others as well.

2. Osake wa Fuufu ni Natte kara

Looking for a short series for a short laugh and episodes that will leave you smiling? Then this is the series for you. With a mix of good drinks, a sweet couple and a few laughs slipped in between, you won’t find a boring moment with this series. Here we have the story of manager Chisato. She’s hardworking and reserved, but when she reaches home a new side to her revealed. Not only does she love alcohol, especially those made by her husband Sora, but when she gets drunk, her cute side, which is only known to her husband, comes out.

1. Garo: Vanishing Line

Here is a series that takes in surreal monsters, fast paced designs, a transforming hero on a motorcycle and mixes it all together with an urban like setting. Set in the fictional set of Rusell City, here exists monstrous beings known as “Horrors.” Demons who lay in wait and take over humans who release their inner darkness. Going against these terrifying monsters is Sword; together with his ring/motorcycle partner they battle while also searching for the truth behind what is called “El Dorado.”
