They have been in a number of shoots showing them in all kinds of fashions, from simple beach wear to onesie items, “Yuri!!! On Ice” has become a widespread phenomenon. Now the main trio of have officially become models for a brand design on the cover of French-born magazine, “Numero TOKYO.”
More than the cover, there are also five pages dedicated to the characters in the magazine and feature them in the latest fashion of different brands including Dior Homme, Valentino, Giorgio Armani. The theme of the image was based on the idea of the trio taking part of a fashion shoot in Paris. In addition to this fashion magazine taking appreciation to the skating stars there will be an A2 poster to be found within the magazine.
The release of the magazine is set to be released on December 2017 and will be priced at a total of 720 yen, around 6 USD. There will be a special edition of the magazine to be sold and for the duration of two weeks starting on October 28, there will be full poster on display. Generally, Numero is an international fashion magazine published by Paul-Emmanuel Reiffers and had began in 1998. Covering international fashion, beauty, design, health, architecture and decor, as well as spreads on trendsetting celebrities, Numero TOkyo is one in six of the magazine’s branches. The branch was launched in April 2007 and had featured Kate Moss for their debut cover. Now Yuri Plisetsky, Yuri Katsuki and Victor Nikiforov are part of the magazine line that held Chloë Sevigny, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Agyness Deyn and Victoria Beckham on its cover.
“Yuri!!! On Ice” is a sports anime that was first released in 2016 and took focus on the sport of figure skating. It was directed by Sayo Yamamoto and written by Mitsurō Kubo with a total of 12 episodes that ran until December. Throughout it’s run it has gained a large following and even after ending, has continued to grow with merchandising and different collaborations.
The story of the series of Japanese skater Yuuri Katsuki, following his lose at the Grand Prix Final, finds himself unsure of his career and heads back home. But upon his performing a skate for a friend he unknowingly gets captured in video and attracts the attention of none other than his idol VIctor Nikiforov.
