A launch trailer is officially up as the release of “Fire Emblem” Heroes for Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS draws closer. From the trailer, a feature on the game’s heroes and Musuo action is shown.
It was in January this year that the game was first revealed to be getting a Nintendo Switch and 3DS and is set to be released on October 20, 2017 in North America and Europe. Described as a is a free-to-play tactical role-playing game developed by Intelligent Systems and Nintendo for iOS and Android devices the game is a spin-off of the Fire Emblem and released on February 2, 2017.
The story of the game takes the player into the world of Fire Emblem where the heroes from throughout the franchise gather together in order to save the Kingdom of Askr. Included in the game are siblings Rowan and Lianna, along with do Marth, Caeda, Chrom, Ryoma, Xander, Corrin, Lucina, Takumi, Frederick, and Robin. Also featured in the game are a chance to fight against the Chaos Dragon and a look into the Shield of Flames’ history.
In a previous report more details have been revealed for the Switch version of the game. In the report a comparison is made over the game’s “Quality Mode” that puts visuals over performance, and “Performance Mode” that focuses more on gameplay.
On the note of gameplay, the main game has players able to create teams of four heroes for the story or to go up against other players while also giving them a 8×6 grid map to summon monsters. Currency wise the game makes use of “orbs”, which players can use to acquire new heroes. When they head out for missions however, the cost is their stamina which luckily recovers at a rate of 1 point per 5 minutes.
Players can earn orbs by either completing in-game activities or with in-app purchases. Another se for orbs other than getting heroes is having the ability to use ’Light’s Blessing’, an ability which heals all of the player’s units, revives any of the player’s defeated units, makes all activation skills ready to activate and allows a player’s team to fight again. Then there is also another orb use which permanently increases experience gained or maximizes hero capacity, or to replenishes stamina.
Fire Emblem is a tactical Role-playing video game franchise developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. It was first produced and published for the Family Computer (Famicom) and currently has twelve original games, three remakes, and two spin-off, that are playable across multiple game systems.
