A collaboration work is up between the shounen series “Boruto: Naruto Next Generation” and the doll characters “Lope and Akira” is coming up in November. It will be a movie involving the characters and is set for TOHO Cinemas in Tokyo, Chiba, Kanagawa, and Saitama on October 14.
Along with the news of the collaboration movie, is the release of a short PV for the films release in the States. The PV shows both Naruto and Boruto turned into fox versions of Lope and Akira and are constantly stating on how they know that the movie will be opening at TOHO Cinemas Ueno but do not know where it is. In the end the group end up laughing before the video reveals the release of the film in the states to be on November 4.
It was in August that the development for the collaboration between the two first began and started with a poster of Naruto and Sasuke headed for the theater in Ueno. Coming in November a poster depicting the Uzumaki family going through the Ameyoko area will be shown.
Not much else has been revealed for the collaboration other than the promotional work and releases. The most known about Lope and Akira are that they are doll items under Takaratomy.
“Boruto: Naruto Next Generation” is a shounen series Ukyō Kodachi and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto. A spin-off series to the “Naruto” series by Masashi Kishimoto, the series was first released in May 2016 and is under the publication of Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump. Currently the series has 3 volumes released and it was just in April 2017 that an anime adaptation of the manga made its debut and now has around 28 episodes.
The series is set years after the end of the Fourth Great Ninja War and after Naruto has finally achieved his dream of becoming Hokage. Now he is married to Hinata and has two children named Himawari and Bokuto. The focus of the story, if the title didn’t already give it away, is on Bokuto and his journey as a ninja alongside his team.
