Top 5 New Fall Anime to Check Out for the Week

Every season brings a new anime and for the fall season there is a number of fantasy, comedy and action series to be enjoyed with interesting plots to add to them. From the looks of things, there is a lot to look forward to for the season with series involving different unique stories and colorful characters. Whether it be a fantastical work involving beings of a different nature or a comedic work involving a simple setting like a cafe, choosing a new anime to watch is pretty much a process in itself but the following list may just give some good suggestions.

1. Mahoutsukai no Yome

This is a dark fantasy series that tells the tale of a young woman named Chise who has so far lived a less than stellar life due to an ability of hers. At one point she makes the decision to agree in becoming a slave so to find a place to take root. This resilts in her being purchased by the mysterious magus Elias Ainsworth, a powerful but mysterious man who brings her to his home not as a slave but rather as an apprentice. This is Chise’s journey into being not only an apprentice of magic but also a future wife to this mysterious being.

2. Houseki no Kuni

Set in a world where there exists genderless beings known as Gems living on the earth, there lives a battle. With a population of 28 Gems, these beings must fight against the Moon Dwellers who appear to capture them and turn them into decorations. One of the gems, Phosphophyllite, the youngest and one of the most fragile, wishes for nothing more than to be given a purpose, maybe even join in battle. But this is not be so and instead, she is summoned by the Master of Gems and is assigned to make an encyclopedia. This in turn results in a connection to a dangerous Gem and thus the story begins.

3. Blend S

Now this is a story to go to for some cute scenes and a laugh to go with it. “Blend S” is a story about a young female named Maika Sakuranomiya. She is in search of a job so to earn money to study abroad. But due to a “scary look in her eyes”, this easier said than done. But when she ends up making faces in front of a cafe while checking her reflection, she attracts the attention of the manager Dio, and ends up getting hired. The thing about this cafe however, is that each maid is assigned a certain character and for Sakuranomiya, she is assigned the… sadist role?!

4. Konohana Kitan

A gentle and fluffy series to check out at least once, the story tells of a young fox girl by the name of Yuzu. She is in search for a job at the youkai inn of Konohanatei and manages to get one with the help of her guardian Bukimi. While clumsy and a bit slow, Yuzu is hardworking and holds a charm to her that helps her with the customers. This is her journey in working at a high class in while getting to know the rest of the workers.

5. Juuni Taisen

A tale of action and dark elements, this is a story that introduces 12 different warriors, taking on the name of the 12 Zodiac animals. They are called from all over the world to participate in a battle royale. For the sake of pride do they battle against one another all in order to get one wish.
