A New Cast and Visual is Revealed for Altair: A Record of Battles' Second Half

“Altair: Record of Battles” a.k.a . “Shoukoku no Altair” when unveiled was stated to be running for two cour (two quarters of a year). Now its official website has revealed both a new cast and a new visual for the second half of the anime to come.

It was on July 7 that the series was officially released and aired on MBS, TBS, and BS-TBS channels in a late-night Animeism block. For the second half of the series, it will be making its debut on October 13 with the 14th episode of the series. Along with the revelation of a new cast and visual, there is also a reveal of a new opening and ending theme for the series. The opening, which is titled as “akairo” will be performed by Civilian and the ending which is “Windy” will be performed by Chemistry.

The main story of the series tells of a long standing conflict between the Turkiye Devleti and the Balt-Rhein Empire. This conflict ends up coming to an explosive hit when one night is discovered that an imperial minister has been assassinated. In the midst of this conflict, a young pasha by the name of Mahmut comes across the truth behind the assassination. This in turn marks the beginning of his battle for peace and trust and his fellow man.

The new cast/characters that will be involved in the second half of this story includes:

Daisuke Hirakawa as Kalbahal
Shizuka Itou as Cassandra
Rikiya Koyama as Pino
Mariya Ise as Kokoshka
Ryoko Shiraishi as Niki
Hiroshi Naka as Wan Ishin
Sho Hayami as Zsigmond III
Megumi Han Margitte
Juri Kimura as Gertrude

As for the staff of the series, they remain the same with Kazuhiro Furuhashi as the director and working at MAPPA. With his as assistant director is Takashi Igari. Acting as the series composer for the production is Noboru Takagi. Working on the character designs of the series is Takashi Igari. Lastly, is the composer of the series’ music, Ryo Kawasaki.

Currently the anime is being streamed in more than 200 countries via Amazon Prime Video service and also has a simulcasting being done on Amazon’s and Anime Strike channel since its premiere.
