The Ancient Magus Bride Gets Featured on Mag Garden

As the premiere of “The Ancient Magus Bride” a.k.a “Mahoutsukai no Yome” draws near, a feature has been made of it on the cover of Mag Garden’s November issue. Included with the cover spread of the upcoming fantasy series, are different features including a B2 poster with illustrations of the anime.

In the magazine along with the poster and illustrations,  there will be a feature of all 41 chapters currently released for the manga series. Another feature to check out along with the over release of the series is an interview comic involving the studio of the series, WIT STUDIO. On the  note of interviews, an official interview has just been released by the Natalie website.

“The Ancient Magus Bride” as it is is generally known, is a fantasy series that takes focus on a young girl with prominent red hair, Chise. For most of her life she has undergone different sorts of problems and in that path of struggle she finds herself placed in slave auction.

It is there that she meets Elias, a mysterious magician who purchased her for a rather ridiculous amount of money. Rather than him wanting her to be his slave though, he declares Chise to be not only his new apprentice but also his future spouse. But not all is at it seems for there is reason to not only Chise’s struggles but also to why Elias specifically took her, and that is because she is what is called, a Sleigh Beggy, something that will mark her new path in life.

The manga, which is written and illustrated by Kore Yamazaki, was released in November 2013 and is under the publication of  Mag Garden in its Monthly Comic Garden magazine. Currently the series holds a total of 8 volumes and prior to the anime series, had released a 3-part OVA that went back in time and told of a tale of Chise as a child and her encounter with the magician of the forest.

The anime is officially set to be released on October 7 with Norihiro Naganuma as the director and Kore Yamazaki and Aya Takaha as the writers. Acting as the protagonists of the series are Atsumi Tanezaki and Ryota Takeuchi as Chise Hatori and Elias Ainsworth respectively.
