‘Tokyo Ghoul:re’ Anime Adaptation is Now Green-lit!

Tokyo Ghoul fans, rejoice!

A new website was created by the company Marvelous on Thursday which confirms that Sui Ishida’s manga series hit Tokyo Ghoul:re is now green-lit for an anime adaptation. The anime series is expected to debut in 2018. What’s even cooler is that the Natsuki Hanae will be reprising the role of Kaneki Ken in this new series. The staff will announce the exact premiere date the soonest.

Tokyo Ghoul:re is a sequel manga to the Ishida’s popular Tokyo Ghoul manga which was first launched in Weekly Young Jump in 2011. The sequel then followed after the first manga series ended in 2014 which is published in the same magazine. Tokyo Ghoul is published in 14 compiled volumes.

Viz Media is will be releasing Tokyo Ghoul:re in English on October 17.

It seems that there’s no stopping Tokyo Ghoul just yet. Let’s hope that the anime adaptation will be an epic one.

Haise Sasaki has been tasked with teaching Qs Squad how to be outstanding investigators, but his assignment is complicated by the troublesome personalities of his students and his own uncertain grasp of his Ghoul powers. Can he pull them together as a team, or will Qs Squad first assignment be their last?
