Last Week's Japan TV Rankings (Kanto Region) Create a Familiar Trend

Japan household TV rankings (Kanto region) have been all too familiar for the week of September 17-23. To begin, this week, NTV aired the popular anime film, Ponyo on September 23rd. The film garnered an 11.3% rating. Also, in news, the last episode of the live action television series, Kaoru Fukaya’s KANNAsa-n! aired on September 19th and received a 10.1% rating.

Of course, more anime series have become extra popular in the Kanto region as of late. The following list of shows have ranked very well in Japan:

Hopefully, this list will give confirmation that anime is doing extremely well domestically, and will continue to grow in the near future.
