Japan household TV rankings (Kanto region) have been all too familiar for the week of September 17-23. To begin, this week, NTV aired the popular anime film, Ponyo on September 23rd. The film garnered an 11.3% rating. Also, in news, the last episode of the live action television series, Kaoru Fukaya’s KANNAsa-n! aired on September 19th and received a 10.1% rating.
Of course, more anime series have become extra popular in the Kanto region as of late. The following list of shows have ranked very well in Japan:

Easily, worldwide acclaimed anime such as: My Hero Academia, Pokemon Sun & Moon, Dragon Ball Super, One Piece, and Detective Conan top the list as the most popular anime shows in Japan. Hopefully, this list will give confirmation that anime is doing extremely well domestically, and will continue to grow in the near future.
