Osomatsu-san Season 2 Brings Out More Events and Merchandise

Merchandising and promotional events are up as Japanese anime goods store Animate celebrates the official announcement of Osomatsu-san’s second season release date being October 2. From merchsndising to collectables there are a total of three events to be held and two are to be under the Animate banner.

Amongst the three noted events, it is the currently running aquarium collaboration named  "Mr. Osomatsu x Kūsō Suizokukan" that strays away from Animate celebration. Set at the Sunshine City Aquarium in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, as well as Kyoto Aquarium in Kyoto and Marine World Uminonakamichi in Fukuoka the collaborationholds visuals for each location.

For their celebrationn of the second season, the collaboration offers a line of  of crossover goods with Takara Tomy Arts and Kamio Japan’s “Kūsō Suizokukan” a.k.a. “Fantasy Aquarium” characters. Merchandise which were exclusive to Marine World Uminonakamichi and Sunshine City Aquarium included the first depicted image below

As for other merchandise, they are available at all locations of the collaboration

With the Animate Events, the first is a Kadokawa hosted event set to run from September 15 to October 9. Titled “KADOmatsu-san Fair 2nd,” the event will be having six different copies of the Mr. Osomatsu Kōshiki Anthology Comic available on its first event. For those who purchase all six copies, they will recieve a set of three Mr. Osomatsu mask cases.

Another option for fans is to purchase merchandise in order to collect six receipts stamped with the individual hiragana characters in “Osomatsu-san” (“O”, “so”, “ma”, “tsu”, “sa”, and “n”) and be able to receive the set of three mask cases.

The next event which will be running from October 12 to Novemebr 5 is the  "Okaerinasai, Osomatsu-san! Atsui 2-ki ga Hajimaru zo!! Fair" a.k.a. “Welcome Back, Mr. Osomatsu! The Hot Second Season is Starting!! Fair.” For every purchase of the Mr. Osomatsu Blu-ray Disc, DVD, game, book, and character merchandise, fans will recieve one of six campaign-exclusive tin badges. One other way to get one of the badges is for purchases reaching up to 2,000 yen (about US$18).

“Osomatsu-san” is a 2015 comedy series released in 2015 and is a sequel story to the original 1988 “Osomatsu-kun” series. It tells the tale the sextuplet brothers Osomatsu, Karamatsu, Choromatsu, Ichimatsu, Jyushimatsu, and Todomatsu and their daily adventures as NEETs.
