A New Stretch Goal Out for the Remaining Anime of Aria the Animation Kickstarter

The “Aria The Animation” series was just announced to have a Kickstarter campaign for an English dub and now the campaign adds a new stretch goal as of Wednesday.

Should the campaign reach US$360,000, the “Aria the Origination” anime series, “Aria the OVA ~Arietta”, the Aria the Avvenire OVA (Original Video Anime), the unaired special episode 5.5 and picture dramas will be included in the English dubbing to be done by Nozomi Entertainment.

Recently the campaign has reached its stretch goals of US$180,000 and US$240,000 which will bring the English dubbing of the first 13 episodes of “Aria the Natural” for the former and the dubbing of the rest of the episodes for the latter.

During the week of the campaign’s launch on August 12, the project reached its initial goal of US$110,000.

The dub cast currently include Michele Knotz, Jessica Calvello, Lisa Ortiz, and Veronica Taylor. Recordings will be taking place at Headline Studios located in New York.

For the final set of stretch goals, they will be an add-on option for the project. Another option will be for the HD Blu-ray Disc for “Aria the Natural.” Those who wish to purchase the product will get the choice to “plus” tier to add it as a reward. However, for those who have given more that US$1,000 to the project will already have the added tier as part of their reward in donating.

Originally known as “Aria”, the story is set in Aqua, a planet formerly known as Mars before humans colonized the planet in the 24th and turned it into a sparkling planet covered in water. It is here that 15-year-old Akari Mizunashi sets off in pursuit of her dreams of becoming an “undine”, female gondoliers who navigates the canals of the Aquan city of Neo-Venezia.

Akari joins the Aria Company, one of the different companies in the city which offers guided tours for tourists to enjoy the many wonders of Neo-Venezia. Now as a part of the prestigious company, AKari sets on a journey of many challenges towards her dream.

Starting off as a manga series by Kozue Amano and serialized by Enix in the magazine Monthly Stencil before being retitled when moved to Mag Garden’s magazine Comic Blade. In the course of its run, the series gained another manga series, three anime series and 2 OVAs.
